Race Starts

Own The First 5 Meters

Ready to level up your racing skills? Race Starts is a high-energy add-on session that teaches swimmers how to launch off the blocks like a pro. We break the start into simple stages so swimmers can feel confident, safe, and in control, then build speed and power as they improve.

Swimmers will learn how to set up on the blocks, hit a strong “take your mark,” drive forward with purpose, enter in a tight streamline, and explode into a fast breakout. With two levels available, everyone gets the right challenge, plenty of reps, and coaching that turns good starts into great ones.

Race Starts available for 400 Gold, Team Bronze, Team Silver and Team Gold swimmers.

New to Race Starts?

Beginner Race Starts is all about getting comfortable on the blocks and learning the foundations of a great start. We focus on safe set-up, balance, and the key positions that help swimmers feel steady and strong. Expect lots of guided practice, simple cues, and confidence-building drills that turn wobbly starts into clean, controlled lunches.

Have Experience With Race Starts?

Intermediate/Advance Race Starts is for swimmers who are already consistent and ready to chase speed. We sharpen the details that make starts quicker, from reaction timing and explosive drive, to entry angle and breakout speed. Swimmers will refine track start technique, wedge positioning, and body line so every start feels powerful, clean, and race-ready.

Which level is for me?

Beginner is best if you are new, or relatively new, to block starts and still building confidence holding “take your marks” and entering with control.
