Why Strength Doesn’t Mean Doing It Alone

Why Strength Doesn’t Mean Doing It Alone

I was walking the other day and saw two newly planted trees.

One stood alone — no supports, no wires. It was doing okay. Fewer leaves, a little wobbly, but surviving.

The other? It was held gently between two sturdy poles, softly tethered. Supported. And it was thriving — full of leaves, grounded, upright.

It struck me.

We’re often taught that needing support makes us weak. That going it alone is noble. That white-knuckling our way through stress, healing, parenting, work, or burnout means we’re “strong.”

But here’s the truth:

Sometimes support is what makes you stronger.

Not weaker. Not behind. Not broken. Stronger.

Two women sitting by a window, one offering a comforting hand on the other's shoulder during an emotional conversation, illustrating the power of personal support through holistic medicine.

Just like the tree, we grow more fully when we’re gently held — especially during transitions.

So if you’re feeling like you “should know what to do” by now… but still can’t make it stick.

If your willpower is worn out.

If you’re craving more ease, clarity, and rhythm but can’t seem to access it on your own…

This is your sign to stop going it alone.

This is exactly the work we do in my Rhythm Not Balance coaching, and it’s the intention behind this season’s special offering:
