In October 2022, Heather hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim, 24+ miles, at the heaviest weight of her life.
She finished strong. And she was deeply uncomfortable in her own body. That moment clarified something most fitness culture refuses to say out loud: fitness and body composition aren't the same thing, and neither one guarantees peace with yourself.
Then, in January 2023, she broke her tibia and fibula while hiking. Recovery became her own personal laboratory.
No grinding through. No shortcuts.
Just patient, strategic rebuilding, and a quiet realization that she was watching real transformation happen differently than anything she'd tried before.
In April 2024, she decided to lose 50 pounds in order to become a faster hiker.
She gave herself a year. She didn't hit her goal in a year. She lost 35 pounds instead of 50.
She called that a win and kept going. 60 pounds total. No constant starting over again and again.
In November 2025, she stepped back on a bodybuilding stage and took second place.
